About two Stooges Bar & Grill
Ty Wilson and Greg Asproth dreamed of opening a billiard Room together for years. In April 1988, their dream was realized when they opened Two Stooges Sports Bar & Grill under the name “University Billiards” with 17 pool tables and a snack bar.
After several great years and some major renovations, Greg and Ty expanded University Billiards to include 56 pool tables and a full-service American style restaurant with its own unique flavor. In 1998, the name changed again, and Billiard Street Café was born.
Billiard Street Café was awarded “Top Ten Billiard Room in North America,” “Business of the Year” and “Best of ” Award for Architectural Design in the Billiard Digest. We are very proud of that recognition, but our best award is when you, our guest, walk in and simply say “WOW!”
In 2006, a world class sports bar was added! This last ambitious expansion and remodel brought more changes, and the final name became what it remains today: Two Stooges Sports Bar & Grill.
Two Stooges was voted best place to shoot pool in 2017 by City Pages.
Today Two Stooges is considered a top billiard room in the US and the place to play pool and darts in Minnesota. Our sports bar continues to serve up creative cocktails and 16 delicious Ice-cold tap beers and our restaurant features unique, flavorful food with our own Stooges’ twist. Our staff are friendly and warm and committed to ensuring your experience at Stooges is a stand-out.
Our name and our space may have evolved many times, but our dream of a classic American style pool hall with something for everyone—has remained the same. Whether you come to relax with friends, shoot pool, play darts, watch the game, drink a cold one, or share a meal with family, Two Stooges has you covered!
